Prospective Member Information
Thank you for enquiring about membership to our club. The members of the Falcon GT Car Club of Newcastle Inc are a group of dedicated enthusiasts passionate about Falcon GT’s and other Ford muscle cars.
The aim of our club is for the preservation, maintenance, restoration and enjoyment of the Falcon GT. The club promotes friendship, courtesy on the road, and encourages family and social activities within the club.
Our members are encouraged to participate in club activities and attend monthly runs. Runs are normally the last Sunday of the month, at a venue where our cars can be parked together and in view. We enjoy showing our cars, and as such organise an annual club concourse day.
A newsletter prepared by our committee is issued to members in advance of club events. Members may advertise cars and parts for sale, and if desired their business. Also note we offer an excellent range of club merchandise to members and their families including jackets, shirts and caps.
Full (GT) membership is available to owners of Australian produced Ford Falcon GT’s and associate (non GT) membership is available to owners of Australian produced Ford Falcons XR through XB. Membership for owners of limited production Falcons and other collectable Ford vehicles (eg. Cobra’s, John Goss Specials, Fairmont GXLs), will be decided at the discretion of the executive committee.
Potential members living within a 100 Km radius of the Newcastle post office must attend a minimum of one (1) run before paying their membership fee. Falcon GT’s must be checked by a representative of the club to confirm authenticity. The executive committee reserves the right to accept or reject membership applications.
Members living within a 100 Km radius of the Newcastle post office must attend at least two (2) club runs per financial year. This excludes the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Valla Park weekend (with other Falcon GT Car clubs at Nambucca Heads), and the club Christmas party. However apologies would be accepted under exceptional circumstances.
Membership fees are currently $40 per financial year. Also note that members must also become a sporting member of Club Tomago (our sponsor) currently $7 per financial year.
